2 Thessalonians 3:13 “But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary of doing good.” (NASB)

We could have just given up and bought a new one. While helping my son-in-law get the hot water tank working again, we had tried just about everything. We got a new thermocouple, tank valve, and even had to get a new pilot line. It seemed to work and then the flame went out. So, we pulled it all apart and began to try this and that again. Today's verse speaks to us brethren - that we not grow weary in doing good. Sure, we could have bought a new tank, but there was something about fixing the old one that became a challenge. Finally, after a few tries, I left to finish up another project while he kept working at it. Then it happened - he came up the stairs and declared that the tank was working fine. I asked what he did; he simply said "I prayed… a lot." I can tell you that my heart warmed up just like the water in the tank - to hear your son-on-law turn to God and keep doing good on that tank was a blessing. In life, there will be challenges, times when we may feel like giving up, but take the advice of today's verse and do not grow weary. Turn to God for help and He will see us through and it will warm your heart!
