Daily Devotional for Monday April 23, 2018

Job 8:7 (NASB) “Though your beginning was insignificant, Yet your end will increase greatly.

I would never have thought the end would be that great. Many would say that my time on the fire department was cut short by the accident that took a majority of my hearing, but I say that I was blessed to walk away from the job. Who would have thought that a young guy like myself would find such a love for the job? At the time of taking the exam to get the job, I had no idea what to expect. It was a new beginning filled with questions, doubts, and fears that needed to be faced; but when all was said and done, the end was increased greatly. Like today's scripture shares, I came away from a job I loved with many great friends and memories, but in the end, I can say my time was blessed. If you’re starting something new, hold tight to today's verse and honor God. Your end WILL increase greatly.

Personal Application: Continue spending time with the Lord daily. Sow righteousness and reap the fruit of God's unfailing love.

Family Devotion: Read this chapter with your family. Ask them if anything spoke to them and discuss. Pray with them.
