Psalm 126:2-3 “Then our mouth was filled with laughter And our tongue with joyful shouting; Then they said among the nations, ‘The Lord has done great things for them.’ The Lord has done great things for us; We are glad.” (NASB)
Most of the time I observe people. It’s a hobby of mine. Sometimes I do it to see who needs some help; other times I do it to see who the Lord wants me to share the salvation message with. In either case, I have noticed that about 99.9% of the people do not have joy in their lives. Most people have never experienced joy – true joy in the Lord. As you read the Bible verses for today, try and put yourself in the writer’s place –read the verses aloud. Can you feel the joy the writer is trying to express? That joy should be cultivated and nurtured to grow with in us and our children. There should be a part of a Christians’ walk that turns others to say, “Hey, I want that. Where did you get it?” For me, one of the things that brings me joy is when I go to a men’s conference and hear men – a lot of men –praising God and singing worship to Him. I get such a feeling of joy that I want to stay there and sing forever. What brings you joy?
