Daily Devotional for Tuesday April 17, 2018

Scripture:

Isaiah 40:8 (ESV) The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.

Observation:

What do you mean it's gone forever? I was told repeatedly to back up my phone and computer, but I always put it off. Today's verse speaks about the only thing that will stand forever. Be sure to check it out and while you do, ask yourself a simple question, “When was the last time you backed up your information?” Many times, in life, we put things off for another day thinking that we will have time to do it. What about the things of God? Do we put that off until tomorrow too? God's Word says that tomorrow is promised to no man, so maybe we should be sure to back our lives up with the Word of God.

Application:

Personal Application: Continue spending time with the Lord daily. Sow righteousness and reap the fruit of God's unfailing love.

Family Devotion: Read this chapter with your family. Ask them if anything spoke to them and discuss. Pray with them.
