Daily Devotional for Monday April 09, 2018

Romans 5:8 (ESV) but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

There are days when I don’t understand His love, but I am so thankful for it. There is so much to be thankful for if we walk this life with our eyes open. I thank God for one thing in particular: my wife. Despite knowing that I had an anger problem, she married me. She has experienced it in our marriage and still chooses to love me. I’ve heard so many stories where the wife chose to leave the relationship when things got hard, but not my wife. She has stayed by my side and comforted me, told me when I was wrong, shared with me her feelings and the love of God. For that I am beyond grateful. I thank God for my wife every day, because I know she came from Him. Each day I’m reminded of God’s love for me. Maybe today you question His love. Life may seem overwhelming, but I bet there is one thing you can thank God for. You just need to walk with your eyes open.

Personal Application: Continue spending time with the Lord daily. Sow righteousness and reap the fruit of God's unfailing love.

Family Devotion: Read this chapter with your family. Ask them if anything spoke to them and discuss. Pray with them.
