Daily Devotional for Friday April 06, 2018

John 8:32 (ESV) “… and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Yes, finally!!! I was helping a friend sync his new phone with his vehicle's phone system. It seemed like everything we tried, it just wasn't working. Today's verse speaks about truth and how it will set you free. It’s simple thing... to go back to the manual and follow each step correctly, but we tried to get around that. In the end, following the steps got the system working. The truth was in the manual. We simply had to read it and follow the instructions. Whether we are trying to sync a phone, have a conversation with someone, or try a new adventure, the truth will always set us free. Only if we are willing to put the time in and find exactly what the truth is. The best place to find the truth is God's Word. Are we trying it our way or His? His Word spells it out pretty clearly, we just need to follow His instructions.

Personal Application: Continue spending time with the Lord daily. Sow righteousness and reap the fruit of God's unfailing love.

Family Devotion: Read this chapter with your family. Ask them if anything spoke to them and discuss. Pray with them.
