Daily Devotional for Wednesday April 04, 2018

Scripture:

Proverbs 18:24 (ESV) A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Observation:

It only works went they are melded together. For the two-part sealant to work properly, they need to be mixed together to form one strong bond. If there is part missing, it just won't work. Today's verse shares about a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Do you know who that friend is? For the sealant to hold together each portion needs to do their part. Much like life and the friendship between two people. If one doesn't do their part, the relationship will be one sided and will not work properly. It may seem like we are talking marriage, but it goes for friendships too. For true friendship with Jesus Christ, we need to do our part. He did His upon the cross and when He walked out of the tomb. It's time we did our part as well. We can seal the deal by accepting His offer of friendship. What are you waiting for?

Application:
