Challenge

Are you ready to commit your life as a Godly man?

A. Admit you are a sinner.

"There is no one righteous, not even one ... for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:10,23, 5:8; 6:23.

Ask God's forgiveness.

"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Romans 10:13

B. Believe in Jesus

(put your trust in Him) as your only hope of salvation.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16, 14:6.

Become a child of God by receiving Christ.

"To all who receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." John 1:12, Revelation 3:20.

C. Confess that Jesus is your Lord.

"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9, 10.

Life's Greatest Decision

Two great moments in our lives are when we are born and when we discover why we were born. We were created for a reason—a divine purpose. Our lives are not accidents or fate. God has a personal plan for each of us. His purpose in our lives can only be accomplished because of Jesus Christ.

The life of Jesus Christ is the turning point of all history. Our calendar is hinged on His birth. Who was this man from the small town of Nazareth in the Middle East? Hundreds of years before He came, prophets announced His coming. Many great men have appeared in this world, yet none were divine and announced beforehand, except this one man—Jesus. Read more...

  • Hell Week

A few years ago I watched an interesting show about soldiers who wanted to become Navy SEALS. As I watched, I was stunned at the extreme physical testing these recruits went through during the time they referred to as “Hell Week”. They went through food and sleep depravation while enduring grueling physical and mental challenges. Those who couldn’t hack these extreme conditions could quit at any time. All they had to do was ring the camp bell.

  • Characteristics of a Godly Man
A godly man is not macho, hard, tough, womanizing or egotistical. Rather, he is a warrior, a mentor, a friend and a priest. His goal is Christlikeness. He is a builder, nurturer, instructor, provider and protector. He is strong yet sensitive and firm yet tender with his children. He is strong yet romantic with his wife. He is teachable and not intimidated by the gifts and strength in others – including those innate strengths of his wife. He is a leader and also able to follow. He leads at home; yet, he may lead or follow on the job or at church. He desires God above all relationships and will not compromise or turn in the face of adversity.
