Challenge

Are you ready to commit your life as a Godly man?

A. Admit you are a sinner.

"There is no one righteous, not even one ... for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:10,23, 5:8; 6:23.

Ask God's forgiveness.

"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Romans 10:13

B. Believe in Jesus

(put your trust in Him) as your only hope of salvation.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16, 14:6.

Become a child of God by receiving Christ.

"To all who receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." John 1:12, Revelation 3:20.

C. Confess that Jesus is your Lord.

"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9, 10.

Life's Greatest Decision

Two great moments in our lives are when we are born and when we discover why we were born. We were created for a reason—a divine purpose. Our lives are not accidents or fate. God has a personal plan for each of us. His purpose in our lives can only be accomplished because of Jesus Christ.

The life of Jesus Christ is the turning point of all history. Our calendar is hinged on His birth. Who was this man from the small town of Nazareth in the Middle East? Hundreds of years before He came, prophets announced His coming. Many great men have appeared in this world, yet none were divine and announced beforehand, except this one man—Jesus. Read more...

  • Ahab: Self-pity

Well, if anybody ever deserved to pity themselves, it is me. My name is Ahab. I am the king of Israel.

  • Nabal: Abuse

When we look through the window of Nabal's house, we see a selfish, hot-tempered, abusive man. Keep looking.

  • Rich Young Ruler: Surrendering to God

The story of the rich young ruler is one of the saddest in the Bible. This man had opportunities that most can only dream about. He was successful and wealthy at a young age. He appeared to have a heart for God.

  • Nebuchadnezzar: Play

One of the biggest idols in our great country is PLAY. Play is what many men live for--work is what we do until it's time to play.

  • Haman: Hatred

Hate destroyed Haman and his life. Haman was a man who had it all...a wife, children, riches, power, and fame. He was second in command to the King of Persia. His life was great, but his hatred for Mordecai caused him to lose it all.

  • Eli: Workaholic

Being a workaholic is a dangerous trap for many men. Most of us have been taught that our work is the measure of who we are. Thus, we strive to become more successful and productive. However, pouring so much time into our jobs causes every other area of our lives to suffer.

  • Judas: Disappointment

Today I want to talk about how subtle selfishness can lead to disappointment in a person's life. My names is Judas and I'll use my life as an example.
