When Bill Snyder was named the 32nd head football coach at Kansas State University on Nov. 30, 1988, even the most optimistic of Wildcat fans would not have dared peer into a crystal ball and predict the spectacular success K-State would enjoy.
To many, it would be referred to as the greatest turnaround in college football history.
During his tenor, Snyder led Kansas State to 11 straight bowl berths between the 1993 and 2003 seasons, making K-State one of only seven programs in the nation to appear in the postseason every year during that stretch.
In that span, Snyder’s Wildcats won nearly 80 percent of their games, chalking up 109 victories - a staggering average of nearly 10 wins per season - and making Kansas State the nation’s second winningest program over that period.
But to understand the full picture of Bill Snyder, it is necessary to acknowledge his values, sincerity and warmth, along with the concern he shows for the people around him - all qualities that solidify his reputation as an innovator in college athletics.
It is those values, and the work ethic instilled by Snyder, that has given rise to what has become one of the nations premiere football programs.

Pastor Bailey was born in Kingston, Jamaica, where he grew up in the Church of England. At the age of fourteen, his family moved to Toronto, Canada. As a teenager, he committed his life to becoming a professional tennis player. It was for this reason that he moved to the United States to play tennis for the University of Georgia.
In his freshman year (1982) he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord. Shortly after his conversion, he began feeling the call of God into full time ministry. This call became abundantly clear to him on May 5, 1984 when the Lord spoke to his heart in an undeniable way confirming the will of God for him to go into full-time pastoral ministry. This was the start of an exciting adventure as he began following the Lord.
His greatest passion is for his life to count for the glory of God and to see the fullness of Pentecost released among the people of God and for the Kingdom of God to be advanced in this world through the ministries of a strong and dynamic local church. Bailey comments, “We are living in some very exciting times, and as result, people’s hearts are quaking for the presence and power of Pentecost.”
