Daily Devotional for Saturday September 02, 2017

Scripture:

John 14:6 (NASB) Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”

Observation:

When I got there, they had tried every way. I offered to help move a piano. I had done so in the past many times. So, when I got there and they said there was NO WAY it was coming out in one piece, I studied the doorways and the piano for a while. I asked them to help me tip it this way, and before you knew it, it was out and in one piece. Today's verse speaks the one truth that we all need to hear... that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Like the piano, there was only one way it was coming out of the back room. We must agree that there is only ONE way to the Father, and that's through His Son, Jesus Christ. The key to moving the piano was based upon two things... one: I learned from an older gentleman about moving things (thanks DAD!), and two: I spent time studying the situation. Maybe we all need to study our life a little. Study His Word, and we will come up with the same conclusion. There is only ONE Way to the Father and that is Jesus Christ. If you haven't fit Him in your life, maybe it's time. Otherwise you will be stuck in the same room for ever. If you know Him, maybe it's time we shared our knowledge of Him.

Application:

• Personal Application: Continue spending time with the Lord daily. Sow righteousness and reap the fruit of God's unfailing love.

• Family Devotional: Read this chapter to your family. Ask them if anything spoke to them as you read. Talk about their answers and show them that one important aspect of this chapter is that we must continue to spend time with the Lord and keep our hearts focused on His plans and purposes. Pray for them.
