Daily Devotional for Tuesday November 14, 2017

Scripture:

Psalm 37:30-31 (NASB) The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, And his tongue speaks justice. The law of his God is in his heart; His steps do not slip.

Observation:

With two lug nuts broken, we needed to find out what we were doing wrong. We called our dad at the firehouse and told him what had happened – very simply, he told us to look at the stud and see if there was an “L” stamped on it. There was, and he said, “Guys, that stands for left handed thread.” We were turning the nuts the wrong way. The rest came off no problem. Our dad gave the advice without judging us. We had to swallow our pride to accept his advice and call for help. Don’t be afraid to admit when you need help especially from God and those of godly council. Men of godly council will be men who follow today’s verse. Is God calling you to be a man of godly council?

Application:

Personal Application: Continue spending time with the Lord daily. Sow righteousness and reap the fruit of God's unfailing love.

Family Devotional: Read this chapter to your family. Ask them if anything spoke to them as you read. Talk about their answers and show them that one important aspect of this chapter is that we must continue to spend time with the Lord and keep our hearts focused on His plans and purposes. Pray for them.
