Ephesians 4:26 (NASB) Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger…
I started these morning devotional readings for men who wanted to walk closer to our God. In many of the discussions with men about life, I find most men are angry about something—whether it be their co-workers, their job, their rate of pay, the way the guy drove in front of them coming to the group. Some even are angry with their wives. Most of us men don’t know what to do with that anger. We may strike out, break things, or throw things. However, in today’s verse it states to be angry, but do not sin. And don’t let the sun do down on your anger. Spending a night on the couch instead of our warm bed with our wife just isn’t acceptable. We need to make sure we are working a godly solution to whatever angers us and that our response to those things are not leading us to sin. Think about the last time you were angry. Did you sin? Time to be honest with ourselves. He already knows!
